On the whitemoon dreams homepage it states that they make console games
(Wii, Xbox 360 etc) Does this mean that we're not likely to see a PC version of warmachine?

i would hope not. being almost exclusively a PC gamer I would be sorely upset.

If I remember correctly on the GenCon 2009 announcement PC was said.

I haven't watched the video as the quality was soo low I couldn't make out almost anything that was going on much less being said :(

It was said in the video that it was to be for 360 and PS3, someone later asked if it would be on PC and the answer was yes probably. So I would imagine, as with happens so often with games today is it will be made for 360 and ported to the others.

Probably wont make you happy but I am :p

I am begining to wonder if ATC and I are the only ones who watched it all the way through, you really should it will answer a lot of your questions, even with the poor quality.

@Sky I would say listen to it and not watch as you will lose what they are saying.

@GcFlash I am glad there is video of it no matter how the quality it. I enjoyed it.

As of this morning, 2100+ people have watched it all the way through. Twice as many watched the first part. The quality isn't great, but there wasn't much that could be done about it considering the room was being lit by only a projector and the camera was about 10 years old with no real light boosting capability.

sigh, i just hope they dont do a crappy port over expecting PC gamers to buy it up just becuase of the title. For way too many years PC gamers have been shafted with console to PC ports that developers clearly made as an afterthought :(

Hope that doesn't end up being the case here.

I have the same concerns. I have played and not enjoyed way too many console to PC ports (Iron man anyone?). I believe this game could be utterly fantastic on the PC and top the Dawn of War series (I see DOW to be the main competition for the genre) in popularity and general awesomeness.

On a side note I may, with permission, post some of the 3D models I have done for school on here. Currently I modeled a Centurion and the Thunderhead. They are nowhere near the quality you guys have atm though :P I have yet to learn texturing.

DoW is RTS, whitmoondreams has said that warmachine will not be RTS. more of a skirmish style game, from what litle we've gathered we're guessing something like dynasty warrior (maybe?) but its all speculation at this point.

I must say that I would get it eitherway, but would prefer PC (don't have to fight with my kids DVD habit then).

And yes GcFlash, I watched the video all the way through.

EDIT: after randomly re-readign this post I realized that DoW II is more of a skirmish type RTS than a traditional RTS game. perhaps they'll adopt this model, which IMO would be a near perfect match for the warmachine universe and would likely feel closest to the traditional tabletop game.
