Even though summer is almost over. What is your favorite dish you love from the grill.

Here is my favorite food.

Better burnt than under cooked and poisonous!

On a serious note always cook your chicken in the oven or grill first and then blacken on the BBQ. Remember kids chickens can kill! Cluck cluck.

Going to do some grilling tonight. Probably won't need light on the porch, as the mountain range it faces is on fire. (Station Fire, in LaCanada/Flintridge) Here's a photo taken last night (not mine). That's a view of the Pasadena bridge, and the valley leading toward the Rose Bowl. The fire's on the mountainside right over the Rose Bowl. Apparently it's not yet getting any closer to being under control.

But yeah, gonna do some steaks and probably smoke a cigar while I wait for the coals to get ready :)

That is an amazing picture.

I have only experienced one forest fire was while staying in Spain with my aunt and uncle. They lived on the side of small valley, we just had to watched slowly burn over the top of the hill at the top of the valley and then down it towards the house. There were planes and helicopters dropping water and fire retardants on it all day till they got it under control. I was very interesting and a little scary knowing there is nothing you can do to stop it. I guess we were luck in that the wind was blowing the fire away from us, but it was still coming regardless.

I remember when i lived back in San diego in 03/05 there was a fire close to us, but of course I was out to sea. My wife & kids had to deal with all the smoke & ash it produced.

This past weekend I had some chared ribs and boy were they good. Think I put to much BBQ on them for them to blacken really well.

That's one thing I don't miss about living in Southern California. Though I have never personally had to evacuate, my girlfriend did during the fires of 03 or 04 can't quite recall the year. It was the year the San Diego Wild Animal Park got burnt.
