Hello Whitemoon Dreams,

I was wondering if you people already had any idea of how to incorperate (multiple) Arc Nodes in the game.

Because from the tabletop its easy to determine which spell to channel through which Arc Node Warjack, but from a 3rd person view of a warcaster, this might be difficult to achieve.

just curious.

I've actually been wondering about this myself.
I'm actually guessing that they'll use field allowance to limit you to 1-2 arc nodes to prevent things from getting too complicated.

I will make sure the Staff sees this thread.

You could always do it in much the same way you would choose which reciever you are going to through the ball to in a football game.

There is no need for arc nodes to be overly complicated.

A cool way would be to just have the player target an enemy/area/friendly, and if the spell can be cast directly from the caster have it just cast. If it can be arced through a node to a target that is out of normal range/LOS or whatever, just have the spell automatically go through the ideal arcnode. You could even have a cool 'linking' graphic to show the path that the spell will travel before you cast it.

This keeps the game from getting bogged down with too many 'hold RT+LB+A' to cast a spell, and keeps gameply fluid and fast- which will make the game more about tactics than about who can press buttons faster.

That automatic arcing thing's an amazing idea. If there's alternate arc nodes available, a simple press of a button can let you toggle between them or simply yourself if it's some sort of spray or aoe spell you want to throw in that general direction.

If one was able to switch direct control between the caster and the jacks, then channeling spells would be an easier issue to address.

If you are controlling the warcaster, then spells would be cast directly, if you are controlling a jack with an arc node and are close enough to the caster (within control range) then the casters spell would be available to the jack to channel.

What do people think of that idea?
